Description
This is The Ripper. She catches you, tares your seams apart and either sews you onto a monster that needs some cover or sews you onto her own collection of cloth. So she's kinda a crazy skinner for you and a medic for monsters.This is the version with all of the glow that I think people will enjoy more than I do o.x Don't get me wrong, I like it, I just... I dunno really o.x I'm going to open critiques on this one because I think the reason I don't like it is because I'm missing some insanely obvious "glow" knowledge.
*edit* FYI: I designed her before I saw the movie 9. I wasn't aware that there was already a monster that kinda sewed stuff up. I just saw shots of it going "SSSSSSSSSSSSS" in the previews. However, I feel that The Ripper and that snake thing are different enough, because:
-it was a snake.
-it had a freaky ass lure thing.
-it was not humanoid.
*2nd edit* I have been told by a few people that she also reminds them of Baby Face from Toy Story. As with the snake monster, I can see the resemblance, but any similarities are coincidence. I designed this monster as she is because:
-I wanted to use a doll face to add to the creepiness. This movie was all about how humanity doomed itself with greed, the innocence and pure aspects of humanity were destroyed along with the bad. I think a broken doll is great at representing that. I also just really like dolls.
-She needed to look fast and lithe like the monsters in the movie, so that she fit with the universe. I mean, this is a contest about creating monsters that would fit in that story. So a skinny spider type body would work.
-I wanted to have her purpose center around the cloth, so that she could have some sort of ballet dress. Just to play up the doll aspect.

Oh and sorry I don't think I said it your picture looks really awsome XD I'm not sure how to help with the glow thing, but I know Paint Shop Pro X has a glow button that lets you draw neon lights wherever you want on the picture so that might help.

Your welcome, and I know. That snake thing popped up and I wanted to crap my pants. Then when the face detail came up, I was like "HOLY S***!". But the picture and sound were both so amazing in the movie.

I thought that it using the dead body of 2 and how they animated the dead body moving was just freaky as hell. It reminded me of that one scene in Princess Mononoke where the hunters are wearing the skins of dead pigs and the freaky living deadness of it all.
That monster rocked though. And yeah, the CGI in that movie was amazing. I mean, did you see the box with the message in it when 9 opened it? Freaking amazing detail. It looked like he was just standing next to a real box.

YEAH! The detail on the bridge too. And the big central machine was so well designed and sound designed. The sound for that movie just blew me away. And the "Over the Rainbow" scene was just awesome. The way they faded the song out, and had the machine moving in the smoke was just awesome. The detail in every single thing in that movie which was all consistantly great detail just made it the best movie that I've scene in years.
P.S. I LOVE PRINCESS MONONOKE! But this movie might top it.

I totally agree with you on everything. That scene with the record player was my favorite, it really helped develop 3, 4 and 7's characters. 3 and 4 are so cute >.< I love them.

I know! But did you catch those sub-themes? They were really cool. I saw a few, and then I started to pay more attention, and I caught SO MANY sub-themes! This is DEFINATELY not a kids movie. Not really from a horror point of view, but an intellectual kind of view.

Oh yeah definitely not just from a horror point of view. There were a lot of ethical dilemmas in that movie. I noticed a lot of mature aspects to the movie but I dunno about themes. What sort of sub themes did you identify?

I thought I saw a reference to climate change, and pushing "blindly" towards technology, but I liked the way they put some Nazi references in it.

Oh okay yeah P: I saw all those too. I wasn't sure exactly what you meant. Although, I didn't notice Nazis xD I don't know why I didn't. My boyfriend pointed it out at the end of the movie and I was like "DUH." But during the movie I didn't think about it.

Wow. This is good. Very good. I'm very impressed with all the detail work you put into it. I'm not familiar with the character. I haven't seen the movie yet, but this definitely make me want to go see it today. Lol. XD
