Ugh, I agree with this. Why exactly are guys allowed to have their nips visible, but not girls? Is it because we have tots? It's ridiculous.
Also, I can agree with your one statement. I draw male characters shirtless all the time (most of the time, though, the character is just shirtless as part of the design XD), and the first design of my character, Luca, had him shirtless, and I stuck with it. He's still like that to this day.
Thing is, though, I've never given a character nips before, because, for one, it's awkward for me (I'm 14, so I guess I'm gonna find it awkward lol), and for another, I just don't know how to draw them without making them look ridiculous (likely also because guys don't need nip nops because they have no function).
Seriously, though, they're just nips. Animals have 'em (and somehow DA requires a mature filter for showing nips on female anthros), humans have 'em, wE ALL HAVE NIP NOPS UNLESS YOU GET YOUR TOTS AMPUTATED.
Also, I'd like to point out, how come people can get away with not filtering pictures of characters that have unrealistic gRAVITY-DEFYING WATERMELON TIDDIES?? It's just... ugh, I don't even know anymore.

They really do serve no purpose on guys but alas, they exist.
Evidently nipples develop in the womb before the gender does, hence why males get them :T

After all, the human body has been portrayed as a thing of beauty in art since the dawn of civilization.
However, it does annoy me when certain features are drawn out of proportion purely for fanservice.

I personally think that the human body shouldn't be sexualized unless in a sexual context, but I know our society, especially in America, is too screwed up to have that be a reality right here, right now. Anything can be intentionally misconstrued, as you mentioned in your comment on tasteful nudes being commented on lasciviously. People ;u;
But I also know that some people react badly to nudity, even to drawings of it :0 I personally have little panic attacks when I see NSFW photos and I hate porn ;u; I enjoy art of all kinds and have a very high tolerance to almost anything if it came out of a pen/pencil/whatever, but I'm sure if I'm like this with photography, someone else could be with anything related to sensitive content /u\ This world is so big, and I think being kind and trying to help each other, even if we don't understand it is a good thing; censorship is bad, but leaving up those walls so people who don't want to or can't handle seeing certain things while letting others in who are able to handle it I think isn't the worse method /u\

I stated that i don't think women need to be allowed to walk around shirtless in public, i'm saying i at least think that since they can't though, men shouldn't, either.
We both have nipples, both are sexualized, both should be censored if female nipples bother people that much.
