aaaand here we have QuΓ€lgeist
noticing that ice is...uh... slippery (oh well, yet soo much to learn )
he escaped (as usually) the paddoc and just took a little walk fown to the castle-lake^^

first time I tried cell shading (yeah...cooould be definately improved )
other shading technikes just didn't look that well here
hope you guys like it

haha so cute! His face is just completely like WTF IS GOING ON. I think this chibi style really suits this piece and the cell shading works really well for it. I think the simple background works really nicely too as it doesnt distract from the horse. One thing i think though would be the tail? it seems just a tad high Apart from that an utterly adorable piece :3

OVERLOAD OF CUTENESS Really, this is so adorable, I love it! The wide open eyes and opened mouth really help give it a more panicked expression. Your shading is also well done! The background is amazing, I like the somehow detailed simplicity. oh such a way with words I have! However, since the horse is supposed to be sliding around, you might try blurring it a bit to give a feel of motion. Another beautiful piece by you, can't wait to see more!

This is a really cute picture! Good job with the colors and the expression!

One of my favorite things about this is the coloring/shading of your character and his facial expression! It definitely shows a great sense of surprise, so good job with that!

The snow in the background is pretty good as well! I have a hard time with snow. But maybe if it looked like it was reflecting the light alittle more? Also just slightly the same with the ice. You did do a good job of using accenting shades on the surface of the ice but maybe you could add a little more shiny-ness to it as if it was really smooth and reflecting the light like water/ice would.

Other than those tiny details, this picture is really well done! Great job! It's very cute and expressive. Keep up the good work!

Can you tell me what "cell shading" is. Not real familiar with digital work. Very nice though. Makes me think of my doofus (said with complete love) horse Sven who is my avatar. I can just see that look on his face if something happened like that

cell shading is a rather comic-styled shading technike...it's definately faster than trying to shad more realistic :'D
