Its progressed a little, I'm stumped though. I have no clue what to do for a background. something simple...but I don't know.Suggestions?

I think I might like this a little better than the original version. . .With me, it kinda seems like what we might see if we actually saw a merman on the beach. Obviously, we wouldn't be looking at the sun or sky, but we'd be more like, "OMGWTF SMEXY MERMAN ON THE BEACH. 0.o"

You know, I thought so too. But for the life of me, I couldn't get it how I liked it.I guess I just couldn't figure out WHAT about it bothered me, so I just left it before I hurt the computer. XD think you can tell me what looks off about it to you?

why not a pure pale blue sky with a gradation to darker or lighter blue? Simple, but it would accent the water
