Youngish Loggerhead Shrike perched on some reeds with its agemates. This half-grown bird let me set up my camera a lot closer than most passerines would.F 7.1

Thank you! I never saw loggerheads before I moved into northern florida, either. They're pretty birds about mockingbird sized, but with large heads. There's something almost falcon-like about them...to look at. But they act kinda silly.
