Description
This is the first version of this idea. Obviously the fairy was supposed to be the center of the image, with the spider and the action secondary elements. Although it came out pretty close to what I had in mind at the time, I realized that this picture didn't do such a desperate, struggle-filled situation justice, and the spider looked a little kind and too bulbous. So, I forced myself to stare at it and think about it in the hopes that another version showed up--and, on one of those rare occasions in my "art," it happened. That one is Fairy in the Spiderweb II, which I will post in a few days.

So, does she get the wand and smite Mr. Spider? Or is she doomed?

Sweets-B wrote a short story inspired by these "Fairy Vs. Spider" pictures. It's a fun (and tragic!) read by a Deviant with some good writing skill. Check it out here . I'd be tickled pink if she'd do more. Being part of this one was lots of fun. I have my own theories about where this story will go, but I don't know if I will ever draw and put up more from this series. Seeing/reading another's well-made interpretation was refreshing,...

...And it's even more refreshing when someone else pitches in. In this case, Cindy (a.k.a. ~reacherfan ) has also written a story for this. Her story is posted here . It's another quick, fun read that highlights Cindy's particular theme and interest in the situation. Thanks, Cindy!
