Description Here's the second one, with a striped spider a bit more menacing, and a fairy a bit more wrapped up. I don't know where the wand is anymore, but with the web all but forming a gag in her mouth, her situation is a bit more dire at this point.

Sweets-B wrote a short story inspired by these "Fairy Vs. Spider" pictures. It's a fun (and tragic!) read by a Deviant with some good writing skill. Check it out here . I'd be tickled pink if she'd do more. Being part of this one was lots of fun. I have my own theories about where this story will go, but I don't know if I will ever draw and put up more from this series. Seeing/reading another's well-made interpretation was refreshing, and Sweets-B's story got me thinking, though...

(Edit, Oct 9, 2009)
...And it's even more refreshing when someone else pitches in. In this case, Cindy (a.k.a. ~reacherfan ) has also written a story for this. Her story is posted here . It's another quick, fun read that highlights Cindy's particular theme and interest in the situation. Thanks, Cindy!

Enjoy!

you need to do one once the spider has finished the silking

Came across this while browsing for 'Fairy in Web' in the search bar, and might I say, this is impressive.

In the thumbnail, I actually thought it was a photograph of a girl wrapped in ropes that had been Photoshopped or something to add the giant spider in.

Man I love these kind of pictures (chick getting wrapped up by a spider). I've been looking all over for pics like these. This is definetly one of the better ones. I like your spider hill one too.

I don't suppose you could point me towards an artist who kind of specializes in this?

No, but I think there are a few Yahoo groups that specialize in exactly this type of image. I'd go to Yahoo and search their groups for "spiderweb" and the like. There will be more spiderwebbed women in the series I'm working on, but you're gonna' have to wait for a little while... Thanks!

Well, that's always fun! Glad to hear it. You must be one of those many folks who really don't like spiders... I, too, am one of them, although I just hate them along with all other bugs...

Great perspective and lighting - you've really pushed the fairy's plightt even further with this one

faile35 In reply to AmyClark [2006-09-08 16:46:57 +0000 UTC]

That almost sounds like a "limbo" challenge: "How low can you go?" How far can I push it? Not much further. He won't suck her dry, nor will she get completely encased (when you wouldn't be able to see her), so maybe just a bit further... Thanks!

Ah wicked, I like the antennas. The stripes on the spider fit nicley too. Beautifully done webbing as well. Making string/web stuff like that look tight can be difficult, but it looks as though it was done with ease here. remarkable work.

FreshwaterMermaid [2006-05-03 19:32:04 +0000 UTC]

Very cool. I think it'd be neat if you could see some more presure on the "gag" web.
But other than that awesome!!!

faile35 In reply to FreshwaterMermaid [2006-05-03 19:56:07 +0000 UTC]

Pleasing is pleasing. By "pressure on the 'gag' web" do you mean make it look more like she's biting on it, or that it's tighter and pulling back the corners of her mouth, or that it is bigger (more strands maybe) and almost filling her mouth? --Faile35

👍: 0 ⏩: 1

FreshwaterMermaid In reply to faile35 [2006-05-03 22:39:32 +0000 UTC]

Kinda like it's pulling on the corners of her mouth... that'd look more frightening I my opinion. ^_^

You mean "tighter." That wouldn't be hard to do, actually. I'll try it digitally and put a close-up shot in my Scraps, just to see. --Faile35
