about how big is an average Owlkit?

Owlkits are sentient creatures that stand between 1' to 2'.
They are all said to hold magic, but only few can actually harvest it for daily use.
Commonly, most Owlkits can only harvest their magic for defensive purposes.
Owlkits are very sociable creatures who, by habit, create small towns or villages when there is a cluster of them. They create small thriving societies where they take on varying jobs to keep the cycle going. However, it is not uncommon to find a lone Owlkit or a nomadic group of them traveling.
Status
Status is something each Owlkit has and is normally one they are born with. It does not factor into anything besides ARPG purposes and some coloring options.
Magical Status
two/three color gradient coloration (paws, feet, eyes,inner ears, and beak)
will result in pupil not being black (or almost black)
These Owlkits are more attuned to their magic and can actually use it daily.
