Description
Something I did on my own time.A robot graveyard, sort of like an elephant graveyard.
I just sort of imagine that if the robots did become self aware, there's no saying they'd be angry, that's how a human would feel. Maybe they'd just be sad, just go off and find somewhere to rust.

lol, one of your robots looks like the Iron Giant xD
I really like this. It's detailed and kinda sad at the same time (poor robots T_T).

woah, reminds me of our final still life.... This has got a lot of really great things going on in it. So sad too.

It's an interesting idea and the main reason I liked A.I.
This has a great sense of depth. The lighting and texture are well done. Great job making this feel big. Looking at it, there's a great sense of it being wide open and large. I think the dimensions of it help that a lot.

Delayed responses are my bread and butter. To give and to get.

It's so dramatic but I love it based on your artist' comment.

It has a very retro sci-fi feel to it, to me anyway. I like robots when they are done well, and this to me is done well in a great style, it is a melancholy picture with a curious touch.
It would make an excellent print.

Wow, nice work. The depth is awesome. So is the texture on the coloring. What's it called btw?

Thank you, though I'm not sure I understand your question, what is what called?

I used a lot of different textures, on separate layers i placed over the image and masked off. I worked into it with the basic photoshop brush and slowly merged everything down into one layer. I hope that helps. If that's not what you wanted to know let me know, I'm happy to explain

Ohh so it's basically a combination of textures. I thought it was a single specific one like those grunge line thingies and stuff. And thanks, it was more than I hoped to know.

Yeah, if you don't know them, some great websites for textures are [link] (there's a daily download limit on that one though, so you can only download so much a day) and [link] (which seems to be down at the moment) but really you can use any photographs you might have that have good textures in them. Scanning in interesting textures with a scanner works great too.

Nice... thanks for the references man. This actually makes me want to try using pics as textures now. I always relied on my dirty sketch/color work to not make my stuff look too plain.
