This one was finished and ready to post a long time ago, i had simply forgotten to actually post it.Some of you may notice its the same ship from my current avatar
The Javert is a covert operations frigate class ship used by Antaren Empire.

heh, the BFG prow was in the concept, i simply dished it out
...but i have a softspot for ships with the old greek/roman ramming prow anyway...not my fault that the BFG ships are famous for it eh?

The more I'm looking at it the more I think it resembles a stylized train prow. Awesome stuff.
I think it's not cool that BFG should have the monopoly on prows, but its hard to design stuff with a prow that doesn't make people go "HEY, ITS BFG!" -=shrug=- price of design, I guess.
Anyways, Kudos to your designer, and def. kudos to you for some excellent modelling. I hope you keep throwing the designs out there.

textures are sadly deffinetly not one of my strongpoints....so when i put the textures that Strangelet had made onto the model...im pretty sure i did it wrong
....his version is decked to the nines if you can find a shot of it

well I reckon you should work on your texturing skills then, because the difference between an cool model and an absolutely mind blowing art piece is often its textures and lighting. I put off learning how to texture for a while and it just held me back, when Id learnt how it really took everything I did to the next level.

i've known for quite some time that the greatest thing holding me back in 3d is textures, i have been dabbling in them and learning how to produce them for some time now, i simply have not produced results that i am satisfied with to the point where i am willing to show them to anyone

The first impression I get is something cold and mechanical, not only regarding the ship but those who designed it. Then one sees the graceful arc sweeping through the ship's center, and an entirely different impression is given. Beautiful design, masterfully textured and rendered.
