For the past two days I've been trying to come up with an idea about how the site's layout update should be.






 Suggestions regarding the Core members' benefits:

  Core members should have the ability to customize their background image or colors.

  The number of Custom boxes should be 20 instead of 10 for Core Members.

 Access to all of the widgets that already existed in this site.
 Core members being able to change their username every 3 months.



 Suggestions regarding the NON-Core members' benefits: 

 Non-Core members should have the ability to change the colors of their backgrounds. 

 Non-Core memebers should be given the right to have at least 1 custom box compared to now that they have non.

 Non-Core members should have access to the polls widget.
 Non-Core members should have access to the critique feature.
 Non-Core members being able to change their username every 6 months.



 In addition, the following features would also be included in this version: 

 Light Mode

 Likes button in comments

What if this concept of Eclipse  had actually the option for users to customize and change the colors of your profile?

(These colors can also be used in combination like for instance a Red Header and black profile colors with a yellow Font)

As far as the Notifications system, it's perfect the way it is now (classic version). It's comfortable and user-friendly. The only change it would have should be the colors to match the new ones.



 If you agree with this version of DeviantART Eclipse,  please share it in any possible way so that our voices can be heard and for DeviantART to continue being the unique site we all know and love. 

I also urge you to use the blank version and add your own information from your own profile and share it with the rest of the members.

That would be the best option, but it's very much unlikely since they decided to have a partnership with Wix and pay for a revamp, unfortunately.

My version is literally the classic lay-out but with new profile color options and a banner. Basically more customization freedom. Since they paid for a change, it should be something closer to home rather than something as extreme as Eclipse is.

It's a bit too complicated and not clean enough for dA's standards (both Eclipse and pre-Eclipse), but it's much better than what Eclipse currently gives us.

Why Deviantart has become such a mess.I simply cannot call it any different. Deviantart is a mess! For many reasons, but I've always wondered why it went so wrong in any aspects. What went wrong? When? And how? I have never seen so many users on a site complaining or negative comments about it. Many users that have been here for years know that Deviantart has changed massively during this last period. It went wrong before already. To me, it started when Wix took over the company of Deviantart.
This bugs me for months already. But I've been holding in..As I see many others making journals and statements , I have to let my opinion be heard too! We users that have supported Deviantart over the years are THEIR backbone after all! Without us, they wouldn't exist in the first place!
Things have been bad for a pretty long time! That didn't happen suddenly.
Change doesn't always help, sometimes is backfires right back at you. With a new logo and such , they thought of a brand new fresh start. And I'm Santa Claus :>. This

Honestly? I hope this gets through to the staff! This is the perfect example we've all been looking for!! It really gives us artists a true voice! It's really sad what they've done with Eclipse, there's no creative freedom! They call those custom boxes... custom? They don't even work correctly and you can't move them around on the page. You can only make a big fricken long line of them, and you can't remove the other boxes. In a sense Eclipse is actually taking away from us rather than giving back. It's a shame really and I hope our voices are heard this time.
Otherwise a lot of people are going to leave.

I do like your version a lot! I mean, the Eclipse look is okay, but I'm not a big fan of it. Also because I've been on this site for 9 years (going on 10 next year) and I've grown used to the old version before Eclipse even came about. I'm honestly relieved that the old version is still available and I do hope it doesn't go away in the future.

It does look great, but if we can have a bunch of features come back to it as well, like merging it into one another, have an option to go back to an old site, AND ESPECIALLY LETTING US KEEP OUR OLD "DOWNLOAD FEATURE" BECAUSE THE NEW ONE IS BASICALLY JUST SAVE IMAGE AND SUCKS...

Love these different colors, especially the cool color palettes.  What is the matter with the DA developers that they couldn't come up with this?  Years ago I belonged to a large forum and we had tons of choices for skins.  Stark white or black does not cut it for me.  I also like the organization.  A whole bunch of huge pictures crammed together like we are being offered is not pleasing to the eye.

I support this 100%! It changes up the current look to something much better, with the STYLE of Eclipse but not the... god-awfulness of it. It makes it look so much nicer, easier to navigate, and altogether more professional!
