YAY! I've finally gotten around to colouring something!Whoo~ X3
This is for all you PMD fans out there who adore ShinyCelebi/Grovyle. It's a seen from one of the bonus chapters in PMDsky, and it shows the two watching the sunrise before they fade and disappear due to their time being rewritten.
Originally handsketched by myself (link to original [link] ), edited and coloured with SAI.

I think I did well art-wise on this one but I kinda wish I'd done a little bit better on passing on the feelings I had about this moment in the game to the people who saw this picture.

I'm really proud of the way this one came out. Expression in non-human characters is something I really pride myself in, and managing to get the feelings of these two as well as I have is a real honor for me.
...I wish there was a sequel to that game...

I remember that scene, *Grovyle walks near celebi* Celebi? Are you alright? Yes I am... Then they said something about the sunset and seeing it with you... Then they disappeared and came back again. Then Grovyle sent a message to you that hes alive... So sad and sweet.

Ok, I really need to get going in PMD: Explorers of Sky. That bonus story is, after all, one of the reasons that I bought it. And I can't wait to play through it.

Good luck to you, though to warn to in advance, take lots of Reviver Seeds during that bonus chapter and the one with Sunfolora: Lives are cheap there.

The one thing I didn't like about that scene is that Dusknoir had to disappear right away, but somehow Celebi gets to stay hang on for way longer... :I

And you know, you're right! Poor Dusknoir! Why'd he disappear early?! Why couldn't he, Grovyle and Celebi all be together in their last moments as a dramatic, dying friendship scene?
I mean, sure it's cool (for me) that Celebi and Grovyle got an epic, romantic death-scene, but pokemon's all about the friendship...
*feels conflicted now*
Well, I suppose they were trying to make up for the mass amount of time you spend with Dusknoir traveling... But yeah. Still a great scene (still cool for me) that missed something it could have exploited...

I completely agree! That last scene would've meant so much more to me if all three of them were standing there as a team, watching the sunset... or if that isn't possible, then just have Grovyle thinking about Hero-san or something. That'd be more in-character (in my opinion, at least. Grovyle's never really shown any interest in Celebi before this scene. >>).
In my opinion, that "dying" scene was for two groups of people, who are often the same.
1. Grovyle/Celebi shippers (whom I respect, as long as they respect me too)
2. Dusknoir haters (whom I cannot respect, out of respect for Dusky)
Instead of cutting him from the very last moment to please the people who don't like him, they could have put him in there to make them like him MORE. (And plus, he wasn't given enough time to give a sincere apology to Grovyle. :'I)

...Actually, I rather them not thinking back to the hero character in some ways, if only because the hero is just 'my' character and has already had too much epicness... (Plus I ship my partner Chikorita with my Totodile self~ I like Chikorita's too much////)
...As for the Cele/Groviyle stuff, I like it mostly 'cause it reminds me of a canon pairing in one of my fav animes~
Yeah... I think the scene was mostly for the Cele/Grovyle pairing stuff, but I do feel sad for Dusknoir not getting an extra moment to show he and Grovyle really were friends in the end.
(Tey came back to life so he probably did apologise off-screen, but it would have been nice of them to put a bit more emphasis on it...)

That makes sense... Though, only if Grovyle was alone would he be thinking of Hero-san... there'd be nothing else to think about (And, by "thinking about", I mean more of a "thank you for helping me, you did a great job, now i must leave" thing than "I LOVE YOU DESU ;A;". XDDD)

Aww, i loved that bonus chapter, i was actually crying during a couple parts of it (when grovyle was in the electric thing, and the ending). I also loved the songs.

It was just such a dramatic moment really, considering how innocent pokemon games normally are.
The best thing about the music was how well it matched the scenes~ Ah~
