I was thinking a lot about merging the hands into the wings, but in the end I gave him arms, so he can get things done with more ease.

I like your design. I agree, deciding between having or not extra limbs can be a tricky thing when making them things we're used to, like holding hands like in your image. I decided mine wouldn't have them because they can morph into human form, so they would have different experiences in different worlds with different body compositions... Although I am still tempted XD
The image is just gorgeous. I love the movement of both bodies and how amazing and calm looks the background! Also, the fact that only soft shades of blue are making shadows over them, makes me think of a very clear place in the ocean and very warm too! Amazingly done!

When I designed this one and the other 3, the idea is for them to be monsters able to turn human, aka they were born and grew up in merform, the wierd world is dryland and a set of legs, sometimes too many limbs, sometimes too few of them xD
