She asked me to draw her lovely character Koshii with one of my characters, so of course I picked Fisher. 
~teij loves birds, so I just had to draw them bird watching - or rather, Koshii is watching, Fisher is contemplating them for dinner. 
I'm very pleased with how Koshii turned out, though I had a lot of trouble with Fisher's bloody proportions, which for some reason I couldn't figure out very well in this pose. I tried fixing her hindquarters for about half an hour before I finally gave up, leaving them like this. Seeing as Fisher is a mythical beast and neither a fox or a coyote, that's fine. Nobody (not even me) really knows what her anatomy is supposed to be like anyway. 
The anatomy of the birds is likely waaay off too. I drew the birds BEFORE I actually decided on species lol. BIG mistake. Anyway, they look kinda like they should so that's okay. My favourite is the cardinal.
For the background I originally thought of doing a deep forest picture, but then I realized that I wanted it to be on the edge of the forest instead, which is where personally I've seen more birds in my experiances. Anyway, I hope ~teij likes it, because she is awesome!
The reddish trees are maples. The big tree is some coastal thing.

Anyways, this is super awesome. I loves it. <3 I like the rolling green hills and the pastoral feeling. And that tree that the two are on is very sexeh. Koshii indeed would rather look at birds than to eat them... lol at Fisher's face XD

The birds are so cute! I really like the spots on Koshii's tail. I've never seen a fox design with tail spots. It's a great picture.

Ah, gorgeous job on this! All the bright colors of the day bring a fantastic light to it.
The trees are very well done and detailed, as well as the BG and the grass too even. Everthing looks so soft.
I also can't help but love the bit of Rule of thirds use in here so the subjects aren't fully centered, which brings a nice and easy look to it.

OMG I agree - I almost never centre things! I dunno if you've ever looked at a lot of my stuff, but I prefer things sort of off centred.

Haha, in my photography class they said that the human eye often takes non-centered pictures more clearly and more comfortably than anything centered simply for the reason the brain sees it as being unnatural.
