Subject: Sunny Tiger Brost
Experiment: Not really any experiments with this one, other than colouring lineart to match the realistic painting beneath. The point of today's speedie was mainly to honour a very dear friend and the challenge was to do him justice.
Time: I dunno... maybe 2 hours? I got really engrossed, so I didn't really keep track.
Comments: I know I said that today's speedie would be somebody else's character, but like the bad mom I am, I almost forgot my kid's birthday (lol everyone's freaking out right now I can tell) until like the last minute. Sunny's birthday is August 6th, a day he shares with :icontv-r: so here's a shout out to them too. Happy Birthday Sunny and TV-R!! Anyway, I almost forgot it was my little gaffer's birthday yesterday, but then TV-R's journal kindly reminded me and I immediately salvaged the day (somewhat) by skyping my Dad and getting him to lure Sunny close to the webcam with cheese so I could sing Happy Birthday to him. It still felt really weak and hollow; I mean, this is the first day I've ever truly missed Sunny's birthday. Usually I give him a present or something, and pet him a lot as well as give him a tiny bit of milk, (just a few drops) but this year I couldn't. I wish I could of been able to cuddle him as I sang to him, but at least he heard my song and at least he got his birthday cheese.

I love this cat to bits. I seriously break into tears almost every time I see photos of him, I miss him that much. I got Sunny when he was only six weeks old and he kind of thought I was his mom, so I suppose that's what I became. I call him my boy and I'm his special person. Whenever I visit him he follows me around and gives me lots of nose kisses. (Such a sweetie! ) It's too bad my little ten year old probably won't really appreciate this rendering of himself, but at least I did something for him right? (And at least I didn't wait to draw him until after he was dead, like with Mamma Kitty - RIP girl.) This picture doesn't really give him total justice (he's FAR cuter than this) but I think it's okay.

Happy 10th Birthday Sunners. Mom loves you, even if she isn't there. Keep strong and healthy my little one. I love you.

God his eyes - I can't stand it. He's so beautiful. I wish I could be with him.
