Subject: Snow Leopard (Uncia uncia)
Experiment: Draw a realistic snow leopard with as few anatomical faults as possible.
Time: 3hr
Comments: What can I say but this one was a real success! Originally all I had for ideas were really boring cliches featuring cliffs and mountains, but then I actually drew this cat and it looked more like it belonged in a winter wonderland, in snow so thick that only the leopard knows where things actually are. This one is dedicated to my classmates who called this kitty cute and everyone who voted in my recent feline cuteness poll! I'll be sure to draw more of those cats. I'm actually considering making a series of it within my speedpaints - cats of the world. If I do more, the next two will be Eurasian Lynxes (which somebody said were extremely endangered, much like this snow leopard) and some sort of tiger or another type of leopard.

As I just said, snow leopards an endangered species. Just like tigers and elephants, they need YOUR help. There's several things you can do...

-Promote snow leopards through artwork and photography on the internet and in real life. Showing people these beauties exist is a big step! Spread the message that this species needs help!

-Donate to an organization which supports endangered species. Here are some great ones!

-Never, EVER buy products which come from endangered animals. If we don't buy them, poachers won't make a profit and will stop killing our precious endangered species. As WildAid says; "Together we can do anything!"
