As I go remember all the simple things you know / My mind is just a crutch and I still hope / That you will miss me when I'm gone / This is the last songPossible spoilers from The Host coming up!
I tried to put the text on to the drawing itself, but that didn't look exactly great, so I'm posting it in the artist's comment instead. :] Characters here are Ian and Wanda from The Host <3 My best drawing of Ian yet! It's the scene when she says goodbye to him (while he's asleep) at the end of the book. I really liked this moment! <3 I'm also very satisfied with this drawing, though maybe Wanda's hand turned out a little bit too big. xP
I coloured this yesterday while wathing/listening to all of the bonus material on my New Moon DVD. I absolutely LOVE bonus material! Especially audio commentary~! It's great to listen to while drawing! ;D
So I did this with colour pencils and markers, I originally meant to only colour the BG in with markers, but ended up kinda using them also on the clothes, and on Wanda's hair to give it a "smoother" look. After some internal debate, I decided not to risk destroying the skin (and Ian's hair) with my very dangerous and abolsutely non-eraseable markers.

I really like this! You're very good at drawing hands, and I think Ian looks excellent. The one thing I would work on is Wanda's (in Melanie's body?) face looks a bit thin from the side, whereas Ian's is perfect. Girls do tend to have slightly thinner faces, but usually they're more round or sometimes slant upwards at a sharper angle. I know this isn's a critique, but I figured I'd mention it.

Wanda's position was really hard to get right, so I'm not surprised something's off with it x] She's in Melanie's body, alright. Guess I forgot to mention that. I get what you mean about her face, it really is too thin. I often do that when drawing people in profile. >__> Gotta work on that next time! :]

I think her hand was perfect, actually. In reality, your hand is almost as big as your face, which is always hard for me to get right because my arms look too thin, then.
I haven't read the book in a while, so I'm reading it again, I'm about 200 pages in, and I haven't really found good descriptions of either Melanie, Ian, or Pet for that matter, so I haven't drawn them yet. All I've found on Ian so far is his nose is like that of a scuplture masterpiece and he has fair skin. Lol. And long hands.

Well, I guess you're right. I suppose I draw the hands too small all the time, and then it felt weird to me when the hand was the right size for once. xD
And, well, there's not an awful lot of physical descriptions of the characters anywhere in The Host. Especially Jared is a total mystery to me. But Pet is described pretty much in detail in the last chapter. Oh, and you mustn't forget Ian's ink black hair! ;D
