The title says it all. I've finally finished watched all 38 (plus 2 unaired) episodes of Godzilla the series, and it wasn't that bad. It kind of felt like watching Transformers G1, only more Kaiju involved.Zilla Jr. was pretty cool, even though I didn't get see him that much, but still awesome. He breathes real atomic breathe and kicks butt!!
The humans, Team HEAT, were quite interesting characters. Especially the new comers like Monique and Randy. Only problem is there lines are sometimes a bit painfully cheesy.
The animation was decent. It looked good when the monsters fights were going on. Though I wish the humans had more facial expressions. Then again, it was a late 90s cartoon.
So I gave it a 3 1/2 out of 5. It maybe not a great cartoon but it's still fun to watch.

It's as if he was made for animation rather than CGI. That's one reason why I think the series got better reviews than the movie, the former of which I'm watching as I write this(no joke!), and the latter of which I saw years ago. It was the first Godzilla movie I saw. To be honest, I didn't think it was THAT bad because I had no idea what Godzilla was supposed to look like. I know many people are gonna call me stupid and a disgrace for saying that. Anyway, back to the series, Godzilla, or more appropriately Zilla Jr, is so cool and badass! He is able to take down monsters just like the real deal. I know most people think he sucks, but I think he deserves a place in the Kaiju pantheon.

Man, good old Zilla Jr. surpass his parent with both his character and his series. He wouldn't be able to beat the original , but he have enough to stand on his own kaiju flick. I didn't like in "Competition"Β Where randy and Dr.Ifukube Β was arguing over the name. It something I didn't like in the 1998 film either.

Zilla the series Β (i love Zilla jr. But I'm not calling him godzilla he's his own unique kaiju) was a really underrated and was an unfortunate victim of the pokemon digimon war on the late 90's (which i was not alive for born 98) but its a good show and a much more faithful adaptation then that shit movieΒ

Yeah. I was born in 93, back then I was definitely a girly girl. With Barbies, make up and Polly pockets. But I did watch some nongirl shows like, TMNT (2003), Spider-Man, Transformers(Cybertron&Armada), Lilo and Stitch the series, PowerPuff Girls, Kim Possible and Teen Titans. (Sigh) good times.

What shocked me was the similarities that they used from old Godzilla movies. Even a Kaiju that looks similar to Gamera.
