So a month or two ago I noticed I was at 99 deviations, and decided the 100th was gonna be this big ol EPIC piece that i was working on and I wasn't gonna post anything til it was done

It's finally done.

Windows informs me that I created this file on August 18th, 2019. It is now December 8th. This started out just as a ref pic for my D&D pc, Liu Fenghuang, but then when I finished her full-body I wanted an epic background. Slapped together a couple pictures to figure out mood, then discarded them like 2 days later. Found a color scheme I liked, made the clouds, tried to figure out what to do with the ground. Originally I was gonna have her walking through the aftermath of a battlefield, lots of reds and dark colors and death everywhere, but after sketching that out, decided I wouldn't want to finish it. So I just started drawing a landscape, and kept going. Realized at one point that the composition was not great, then sketched out a new comp, but then that new composition would block out the majority of the background that I had spent such a long time on! It was a pretty epic composition though. I ended up scrapping that, then just rearranging the key figures of the previous comp and adding a couple of things, like that ded angle in the puddle and such, then staring at my drawing some more to figure out what to change to make it better, then procrastinating and playing ffxiv and doing homework.

I'm so relieved.
