well that took it's time did it not?But, with no further ado here's the new issue of "Twists and Turns"
We are just taking a first step into the backstory of Discord.
Will it be good? Will it be bad? Well...I have no idea XD

Just look at 'Tia's little hooves as she cheers at Starswirl's trick. So adorable.
So I guess this means 'Tia has a thing for older stallions? I can see why she would pine so over Discord then; he's probably the only creature left older than her.
Or maybe she just has an Electra complex. I'm not sure how strongly Starswirl was involved in her upbringing.

Discord being Starswirl the Bearded makes complete sense. First of all, you see stars and swirls whenever he uses his magic and such! Secondly, Princess Celestia wanted the Mane Six, mostly Fluttershy, to reform Discord for goodness(Maybe in hope to bring back Starswirl, her own teacher) There's also the fact at at the season 4 finale, we see Discord giving Celestia flowers and winking at her, mostly likely there IS something between them, and perhaps Tia knows it too!
There are a lot of clues that points to Discord being Starswirl, but so far, it's just clues, it hasn't really been proven yet whether he IS Starswirl at all! Maybe in Season 5, we'll discover more clues that lead us closer to determine if he truly is the legendary Starswirl the Bearded!
