Where was this taken? Looks like the Jenny Glen at the NY Beaver Meadow Audubon Center to me. At any rate, it's a gorgeous work of photography.

It was taken in NY but at Losson Park in Cheektowaga NY about 10 miles from Buffalo.

Yes, on the one trail there is snake nest every year in the same spot. I usually avoid that trail.lol

I work with snakes for a living; I'm always scouting for rattlesnakes, black rat snakes and garters wherever I go, especially in places like Letchworth. Losson Park sounds like a great place to look for snakes, then!

They aren't really named at Losson. When you drive into the park, verge to your left when so that you are along side the tennis courts and keep going around that small road till you see the dock bridge entrance for the trails. There is parking right across from the paths.
Also, Allegheny StateΒ Park is a great place to get a lot of snakes. Sounds like an interesting job. Β Β
