It's finally here, the pic I spent around 150 hours painting. Every once in a while I try really hard to make something good and see what I'm really capable of. I know it could be better, I could spend even more time refining some of the detail, etc, but it feels done to me and I'd like to work on other projects.

Anyway, I like it, and yes the colors do mean something. The decaying, red chair represents the outdated, harmful, right-leaning, conservative viewpoints. The person wearing the trans colors represents the trans community, and although they appear to be feminine, it's not meant to be conclusive. The guy with the blue hoodie represents the trans person's ally, the left-leaning liberals. The crab represents crab. I'm sure I'm not saying anything new here, anyone who is trans knows who is on their side politically. But I just thought I'd point it out since usually when I paint colors, they don't mean anything. The pic is meant to make one feel safe. You're with a friend, inexplicably hanging out with the fishes at the bottom of the ocean, where no one can get to either of you.

I think I'll paint more of these... pics that mix underwater elements with everyday life elements. Not sure if anyone is doing that, but I know I will be. Thanks for looking~
