Took awhile "painting" this one. It's not really a true painting--you'd notice just a bunch of crappy globs of color if you removed the lines. Anyway, don't bother trying to figure out what this picture is about. It's all about wanting to draw some interesting looking stuff and throwing it into a picture together.Here are some more versions if you want them

but i took the time to look over all four, and they all have very different moods, depending on how you treated the color. i think i like the one without the b/g best, despite all the work you put into the background....(sorry! ^_^;; ) mostly because it really draws the eye back and forthe over the main points of the image....and i also noticed it's not so yellow? they have very different tones of color, which i like very much.

My good friend Hina ran up to me in art class a couple days ago screaming "MATT PAGE IS UPLOADING ART AGAIN! HES UPLOADING AGAIN!" and of course I screamed random gibberish, and although I would have liked to have said something coherent and intelligent, all I could come up with was, "OHMYGOD$@*%(#$^@%%&$@#(&(*$#!!!"
Followed by several midair "YHEAYS~" from the both of us together.

Yay. Really nice picture. It have action and space. But there is one thing... His left leg is almost the same color as the tree is, so it's dificult to recognize what is what there... Otherwise it's perfect

I really like the full color one. Its colors are brighter than most of your other works but it looks so great to me. I have this weird affixation with her left pinky. It looks really stubby to me, although when I think about it fits in really well with your style yet I can't help but continue to think that (I feel like a weirdo) when I look at it.
I would also like to mention that this looks so great that I wish it was wallpaper size. Maybe I can center it...

It's a very nice, detailed pic. I like the choice of warm colors. Only crit is that it was a little hard to make out what was going on at first, I had to stare at it for a bit...I think because the boots are the same color as the tree and the handle to the weapon is the same color as the skin (or close to). Anyway, I especially love the texturing on the tree, that looks great.

This is really awesome. o_o I love those textures in the "demon tree"...as well as the pose of the character there, and the details on her big bladeweaponthing...and so much nice details in the bg too. Sketchiness looks nice on it I think, kind of like looking at an old mythical picture or one in a storybook or aged film...

I can see why the version without the background color is your second favorite
personally, it's my top favorite version of the four
I guess that's because the color is so intense in the foreground and the contrast of seeing the beautiful pencil sketch behind it makes it even more wonderful.

very cool. If you want some advanced critique though I would suggest making this character stronger. I don't really see this kid even being able to lift that sword. Very nice though!
