I debated for awhile which category to put this in. It's not really anime, even though it's in my style. The hateful emotion and the dirtyness of the pic leads me to believe it'll be okay in Dark.That aside, this is one of the colored pages from Fallout Issue 1. I think it's page 16. The character, Halcyon, is mine. ahthankyoo.

Great image. Congrats on the top favorites. I like the analagous warm colors used against the contrasting cold background. The single feather seems symbolic. Nice coloring and line. They're loose and energetic.

Great piece - I think this is a great testament that you don't have to have dark colors in a piece for it to be considered "dark". Devious.

Fantastic ^^ I love your style, I haven't ever actually been to your DA page before, but I've seen stuff on DAprints, so I noticed this as your art right away. Such an awesome style. I absolutely love the way you framed it, with one wing almost entirely out of the picture, and the other nearly dominating it with the figure uncentered. The colors in the small rectangle in teh background are awesome with it too. and the wings are just... rad This is somewaht random, but I LOVE Halcyon's hair. so good ^^

whats that greek myth about the father and son escaping a tower with wings made of wax and seagul feathers...
This reminds me of that, right at the point where he flies towards the sun and his feathers melt off and he dies.
That was probably his last thought... He wasnt a child, but he should have listened to some good advice.

ok i have a big suggestion for you. You say its dark, but its not as dark as it could be. My suggestion is to make that orangy border around her, A LOT darker, maybe even black. You want to convey the mood with color, so that might be a better direction for this scene.
