My entry to 's contest.My chosen character was Gallant Stallion or "Rue" from "The Finest" trilogy by Jean Rabe
Gallant Stallion or Rue is described as an "Ugly Brown Punch" in the book, so I've always thought of him as a Suffolk Punch.
Oh and all those lines are scars from some evil bird critters lol.

You know, this was one of the first pieces of artwork I ever saw on dA, and I once showed it to my Mum as an example of the art people can do on the computer.
