(just one helpfullΒ suggestion : I see you had a hard time blending the background with watercolor, if you need that much blending try acrylic paint, that stays wet longer...or...something I heard but not tried myself : going over it softly with pastel chalk crayons to give it a smoother look and then use a fixation spray)Β

Yeah acrylics works better but I was worried since I had to roll this piece to ship it. I didn't want to have issues with the paint, but if it had been thin enough I'm sure it would work. My paintings usually are choppy since I have a thing for impressionistic style, but I haven't found a way to merge that with watercolor. Plus this was so large. I've never done a watercolor that big. I needed to do a wash but it was an after thought.

True, acrylics do tend to crack if being rolled up, that's why I have them framed but that's heavy and far more expencive to ship it.
But yes, a wet into wet wash would have been a good option too ^^

No. This was specifically requested. I had already done kyungsoo's close up from this previously and wouldn't have done it again had I not been paid to do so. I need a lot of work with watercolors.

This is fantastic! I love the contrast! Though I do perfer your black and white D.O. than the colored. I think it is because you had more practice with that shading more but im looking forward to more colored pieces!

Yeah, I need a LOT more practice with the watercolor... like... a lot..... I actually need some good coloring pencils. This is why I haven't gone full blown into doing fanart paintings.... it's a lot of work to do skin tone when in black and white, it's just shade.

True that! I know how you feel because using color takes a lot for time and supplies while black and white is a lot easier and use a smaller quanity of supplies. I remember when I used to color anime/manga woth color pencils it tooks days to finish.

I usually never post my big drawings cause of that, when i try taking pictures the graphite is all shiny & can't get good picture ^^ ;;
