Obviously, you can't have much of a relationship if only one party is willing to work at it. In a relationship of any kind, you need both parties participating for the bettering of the union.

While the man is the leader of the relationship, that doesn't mean you don't have to WORK TOGETHER in everything (I'll talk more about that in a later element).

Marital relationships are two people becoming one. Not just physically either, like you may think. These relationships are two people functioning as one spiritually, mentally, emotionally, and, eventually, physically. Everything you do affects your partner, whether you want it to or not.

Don't let this scare you. Becoming the same functioning mind is a beautiful thing - having someone know everything of your soul and working in harmony is thrilling!
