Description
I'd made this as a redraw of an older art of Pearl I made a few years ago. I didn't particularly like the original piece because of the proportions I gave her (you can find this on my instagram account). Of course it was and kind of still is a common thing for me to give the feminine characters in my artwork hourglass-ish figures. It's appealing to me, personally. But I wanted to give this new Pearl a more slimmed down figure to respect her actual design while keeping it in my style. I think I could have given her smaller hips here actually. And she even had hip dips in my rough sketch. However, that didn't make it into the final result.
I will say though, I like how much more alive this Pearl seems in comparison to my original Pearl.
