Description SFM users, I've made a journal with basic usage instructions, It'll get the mane and tail on your model and colored, but it isn't 100% perfect. It also expects you know the basics, and then some. It can be found here: fancyclassicamelody.deviantart…

EDIT: Rarity's Tail was missing for whatever reason, had the QC set up, must have forgotten to actually compile it, but I could have sworn I did. Whatever, it's in the pack now~

Yep, I found out that deactivated accounts sometimes get to keep their stuff up, but not always. So I'll be reuploading my old addons. Starting with Manes and Tails.

Included are all the manes and tails in Poninnahka resource pack. It's easily done with other manes and tails, but those would have been a permissions nightmare, so I kept it simple. Other resource packs, I could do, but I was burned out with how tedious this set was.

Useful if you wanna change up manes and tails, and not have a ton of models or something, instead compiling one bald pone, or one with an invisible mane and tail through VMT commands. Or heck you might figure out other good uses.

There are some issues, sometimes the mane will flip the fuck out upon merging. Never figured out what caused that, the tail might also do this, but I know the reason for that:
When compiling your pone, there are usually 3 physmodels, short tail, medium tail and long tail. The tail doesn't match their usual physmodel, and freak out. I've only noticed most of the issue with a long tail merged to a medium tail pone, however. It might be fine using shorter tails than the one compiled to the model in question, but I can't assure this.

And of course, credits and such.

Poninnahka and those before that made the pony models a thing. Would not be a bit possible without their work.

Me for compiling all those models, and the simple setting up the textures.

Use how you like, don't need to really credit me at all, my work was very minor in comparison to the work to make the manes themselves a thing.Β

Huh, I thought I got hers, I know it gave me problems, but that was a simple case of not having the proper physmodel when I tested it forever ago. Lemme go check see if I did indeed forgot it, or if it's just not wanting to show in the spawnmenu.

EDIT:Yeah it's just not there, I'll compile it and update the pack. Thanks for reporting that.

And the tail is there now.

if it flips out it may be due to different rigging on the target body

How exactly do these work? I've tried using them in the past and they just clash with the model's tail and mane.

If you use GMod, get the Submaterial tool and you can turn them invisible.

Wellp if youre using SFM(like me) all you'd need to do is add override materials and float them via an alpha command, if it's for GMod i assume there is a tool or console command to add an alpha transparency to bones or model parts, my guess would be to look into that.Β

Well, there's the no draw command you can put into the VMTs of the mane and tail, or simply compile them with no mane or tail, but that can cause some issues, so the first option is the best, but even then some manes will be wonky, and I have no idea why. Something I've seen another do, is use the tails as ponytails in the mane, that's a neat thing.
