Description
11/16/15 update: Main paintable props set is now actually hexed, so you can now run it alongside the original prop pack.8/31/15 update: Fixed up Maud Pie stuff for the SFM users. If oyu are a Gmodder that has em already no need to redownload. A gmodder who has yet to get em, just grab it now, it is an SFM fix, but it's still Gmod compatable.
8/30/15 update: I messed up the winter scarves and never noticed, it was a really simple issue, redownload the base pack for the fix. And a new image done in SFM. Coloring guide is mostly the same as covered in the manes and tails guide, which goes over all that, just replace mane/tail with prop when reading. Here's that guide: fancyclassicamelody.deviantart…
Another thing I am bringing back, paintable props. A variety of props by other people, made paintable by me. Use the color tool on them.
I might have screwed up some credits, if so, please let me know and I'll fix em up right. These were done forever ago.
Read below for the links, as instead of flooding 3 submissions, I can do this in one.
First up, the paintable props from the default set. Which you can't have installed while having this, there was so damn many I was lazy. But you can easily paint most of these back to their usual style if need be. SFM Working. Now properly hexed.

Then we have the Paintable Maud Pie props. These were made by Postal-Code so they get all the proper thanks. Includes her dress, helmet and knee pads, which if you had em before, the right one was broken, I figured out what was causing that, so this is all good to go. SFM is now all good to go on em.

Then we have the Spy and Medic props of Equestria Fortress 2, made paintable. I used the ones done by BeardedDoomGuy so thanks to whoever else made the source files he put up possible, as well. SFM working

And the beauty of this set up is if I ever do make more colorable props, I can keep them here, in one neat post.

Would NOT recommend downloading. Doesn't work with Easy Bone Merge tool.

Well if it really is, which is strange since I've used these with that tool perfectly fine many times but Gmod updates and the tool itself updates, those could have killed what used to work.
I know for a fact it's still good in SFM, at least. The one good thing about its lack of updates.
But I don't do MLP shit anymore so I won't be the one fixing it, nor would I even know how to go about it. If someone who does know their shit wants, they can take the VMT work I've done and just use that to save some time.
Also wait, which pack, or is it all three or what

I'm trying to figure out how to make the suit work with the model 100% since parts of my oc still kinda stick out and are more obvious as my character moves. Is there a way this can be fixed without having to edit the suit in Photoshop? I ask cuz my sona is a male and a little bit sticks out everywhere.

The suit is made for female models, and since I didn't model it, nor do I posses any modeling ability, it's limited to females for all time for the forseeable future, and even if one for males was made, I'm done with MLP stuff for mostly good, so someone else would have to make that one colorable, which is pretty easy and they can just use the VMTs I set up anyway. So it's gonna clip, and it clips really bad on female models as is, I imagine that's ramped to 11 on male models. So some post touch up in Photoshop is the only way, or figuring out modelling, rigging, getting it into source, making it merge, and all that, while somehow avoiding massive clipping, something I don't think anyone has yet done, and make a male suit yourself. Or maybe ask the guy who modeled the suit, but I don't know how far that'd get you either.
It's just how it goes with these models, they aren't the best, and will clip like a motherfucker with any sort of bonemerged stuff, but damn the level of customization and all that is really unlike any other model out there, so it balances out.

That'd be Equestria Fortress props.

I think you may have mixed up the paintable default props with the actual default props (And before you ask, yes, I installed the folder directly to my Addons folder.).

You might have the plain ones somewhere, these were done long ago and not really hexed so well, so if there's even a hint of the original pack, these won't load. Perhaps there's a steam workshop version you might have subbed? That will take precedence over addon folder stuff.

Well I checked, and I don't.
You see, back in October, my old laptop died and I lost all my files. When I got my new laptop, reinstalled everything, then downloaded and installed the overhaul pack, I went back and installed your paintable models. Since I didn't want to override the original models, I extracted them to a separate folder in my addons folder. However, when I tested them out in-game, they were pretty much the same as the old models...and I didn't even move them into the overhaul folder.
Also, the only pony-related addon I'm subsrcibed to in the workshop is my OC, Neon Streak.

EDIT:It took way less time than I thought, so update it, and it should work side by side with em.
So you installed the whole overhaul pack? That's why. The whole pack has the props doesn't it? And well they are taking precedence over mine. The only thing I truly hexed was the materials, as this was done before I was smart enough to realize when hexing I could just change the folder name all the models sat in.
So you could go into the overhaul pack, manually delete the props_Pony folder, or just have these overwrite the models by combining the folder. The materials from the original pack are untouched this way as well. Or heck, I can even possibly take some time now to properly hex the pack now that I know what to do. So either overwrite the models, or wait for I can't really give an estimate, this page will have the title changed to the date the update is done when it's done.

Fancy I need help,
I am Trying out the Equestria Fortress Paintable Props and I can't seem to get the suit anything more then One Colour..
Do I need a Specific tool for this?...
I'm using Gmod

FancyClassicaMelody In reply to Rachidile [2015-10-21 00:42:51 +0000 UTC]
The suit in Gmod using the color tool indeed is set up for just one color. No idea how to really do that, since Gmod's standard color tool doesn't work on a material per material basis like SFM's material overrides, which was used in the shot.
However! There might be some good with this addon I saw browsing the Gmod workshop when I was moving more over to SFM, I dunno how well it would work, but it seems to color a material you select, so in theory you should be able to make the suit and tie differently colored.

Ah shit, yeah same thing happened with the submaterial tool. I could never figure out how to have two different colorable things in Gmod, I once tried to have a completely colorable pone quite some time ago, but that failed cause of this kind of issue. Hmm, well if you know what color you'd want the tie to always be a texture edit could work better than nothing, but yeah for coloring on the fly, this is an issue I dunno how to quite fix.

What about it? If these will work with it? That's up to whoever runs it, as they'd have to add it into the program, and probably code in something to change the colors. These were done mostly for Source Engine stuff like GMod and SFM.

Uh sorry if I posted something stupid xD But did you use PC3D for blank pony?

If you mean Fancy, she was made using the source files for the ponies that Poninnahka released, and a custom mane. There's a few tutorials out there on getting set up to go. I dunno if PC3D can actually output the files needed to compile for source, however.
