I actually ship Thomas x Emily. It's mainly because Emily was always sweet to Thomas, and Thomas started to like Emily. And because blue and green always look nice together.But now we come to the most talked about part of this ship. And probably why some don't ship them. Emily was bossy to Thomas... But I will say, I didn't ship Thomas x Emily for a while because in the Hit Entertainment era, Emily went from being a kind, caring and mature engine to others, to a rude, fussy and bossy engine to everyone and even to Thomas! It's even more shocking when you realize that her personality was changed right after Season 7. The fact that Toby, Edward and especially Henry's personalities change was strange enough, but to change the personality of a new character they just introduced is just... Why? I don't understand why. Emily in Season 7 is much better than her Seasons 8-16 personality. I don't know why they felt the need to change her character, they could've used Daisy instead. Why give her the same personality as Daisy? Daisy is already rude enough. If Emily was still rude and bossy, I wouldn't be shipping Thomas x Emily now. But now that she's back to her friendly and kind personality, I ship Thomas x Emily again.
But all I can say is, I am glad Emily went back to her kind and friendly personality in Season 17 onwards thankfully. And that was when I started shipping Thomas x Emily again. Thank you Brenner era...
Though I know there's Thomas x Lady and Thomas x Rosie. But I don't ship Thomas x Lady, mainly because it's not canon to the series. And Lady is way older than Thomas... And I don't ship Thomas x Rosie because Rosie is basically that stocking creepy fangirl... I know she improves better later on in the CGI series when she's red, but I still don't ship them. And of course, there's Henry x Emily, James x Emily, and Edward x Emily. Which I don't mind Henry x Emily, I can see why. But I hate James x Emily and Edward x Emily, I don't see them as a couple.
But no matter what, I will always ship Thomas x Emily! I will respect your opinions.

Why do you ship Thomas and Emily together?I think this might be a good idea for shippers of this pairing to talk about why they have Thomas and Emily together as a couple in their stories.
My Reasons;
1) Out of all the engines of the Steam Team, Emily has spent more time with Thomas and gets along with him the most. So it would be more likely of a relationship to one day happen between them.
2) In nearly all episodes where Emily has a starring role, Thomas has a role with her. Like in Emily Saves the World or Best Engine Ever, Thomas was shown to be concerned for Emily when she was upset and wanted to make her feel better. Now something like that could have been for someone else, but they put Thomas in those spots. Coincidence or did they plan something?
3) Calling All Engines gave another boost of it when Emily began to miss having Thomas around with her at Knapford Sheds. Now they could have just put all of the Steam Team with her to be more realistic, as there was mostly room for more engines. So why did they just have Thom

Let's Here's my thoughts.
:Thomas x Lady:Β We'll never see her again. But hope she'll come back. But he's better off with Emily.
:Thomas x Rosie: Emily was the first before Rosie. But it's a good thing they'll be friends cause Rosie is better off with Percy. You'll see why.
:Thomas: x Ashima: I think he never seen an engine like her before. But you'll see who I ship her with.
:Thomas x Frankie: Weird why? I don't get it. He may be cute I guess.

I see. Another ship idea I'd thought on was Percy x Rebecca as a nod to how Rebecca's voice actress is married to Percy's US Voice Actor.
