Handedness: Right-handed
Height: 5ft 3in - 1.6 meters

--Combat capabilities--
Powers/Abilities:
-Shapeshifting-
He is able to take the form of whatever he sees, given that he saw it in person. Taking their form grants him the ability to access their powers, but only if he's seen them use those abilities. Like a Skrull, his DNA will also read as whatever he's shapeshifted into.
-Feline-shifting-
He can, by default, take the form of any existing feline. Said form will always be solid black with a white patch on its chest.
-Feline Physiology-
He has all the physical capabilities of a feline scaled up to a human. Retractable claws, Enhanced speed and agility, Superhuman jumping, flexibility, etc.
-Cait Sith Physiology-
He has the capabilities of the mythical scottish fae creature, the Cait Sith. Particularly: Spiritual awareness, Soul stealing, and Death sense. He can only steal souls if he walks over a person's corpse before the soul moves on, however. Stolen souls are held in his heart. With the death sense, he can sense if people are about to die, though he cannot control when he can sense this.
-Deathcat form-
His Deathcat form is technically his 'true form', but when taking this form he looses many of his inhibitions. In this form, he can breathe and manipulate fire, as well as being completely immune to fire. This form's only real drive is to collect souls to add to its collective. Collected souls can be taken, though it's very difficult to do so if you aren't the Mistress Death herself.
-Reanimation-
He is able to animate the corpses of the dead, making them into mindless drones to do his bidding. They cannot do anything he doesn't directly tell them to do, and they will not take orders from anyone else unless he instructs them to do so directly.
-Regenerative healing & Enhanced durability-
The basic thing every character has, basically. You know the drill with this one.
-Magic Enhancement-
This is another ability he has no control over. Anyone and everyone within a certain range of him will have their magic power boosted so long as they stay near him. This boost can be increased if he is holding more souls.
Strengths:
-If he falls unconscious, his abilities were cut off, or if he were to die, whatever form he was in at the time wouldn't change. This is because his shapeshifting isn't an illusion, it literally changed his physicality. His 'shapeshifting ability' is only in effect when in the process of changing forms. (So really, he doesn't actually have a 'true form' anymore.)
-His natural affinity for out-of-the-box thinking, cleverness, creativity, and resourcefulness can be very useful, as he has often used his surroundings to his advantage.
-Very perceptive and a fast learner.
-Skilled in acting/voice acting, has had a lot of practice 'pretending' from masking growing up.
-His healing factor isn't as extensive and versatile as Deadpool's, but it's comparable to Wolverine's.
-Blake constantly radiates an 'aura of death'. Those who can pick up on it usually describe it as feeling like Blake is so powerful that he could kill someone just by brushing against them. This really does nothing more than make him seem intimidating, seeing as Blake isn't actually that powerful. It's more of a warning light of who his mother is.
-His father/grandfather's family has a heriditary luck, this potent good luck is known to skip generations. Copycat and his grandfather had/have this luck.
Weaknesses:
-Allergic to certain soaps.
-Slightly near-sighted and has occasional problems with depth perception.
-Memory problems due to disorders/disassociation episodes.
-Has very little combat training. Also does not know how to use a firearm.
-Prone to terrible motion sickness in land-transportation vehicles.
-Cannot shapeshift into bugs, fish, or female beings. (This includes Loki's fem-presenting form, despite not always identifying as female.)
-If he isn't careful, his superhuman jumping may activate on its own when he's angry or excited, leading to him being launched at high speeds.
-If his healing factor is taxed too much, he will revert to his housecat form and lose his shapeshifting until fully healed.
-His eye colour and crooked teeth will always stay the same regardless of what form he takes.
-The 'luck' his family has was discovered to have specific terms. Usually, his luck can only come into play if what he's doing is helping someone else, or if he's involved in raffles/gambling.
Stats: (1-10, 10 being the best.)
Speed - 6/10
Defense - 3/10
Attack - 5/10
Stamina - 4.5/10
Scholarly intelligence - 3/10
Cunning/Street smarts - 6.5/10
Determination - 7/10
Charisma - 5/10
Luck - 7/10
All in all:
Speed, Cunning, Determination, and Luck are his strongest points. Defense and Scholarly intelligence are his lowest. Everything else is so-so.
--Relationships:--
Family:
Jack Herrington -
Jack is Blake's father, a man from a bloodline of violence, prison-time, and affiliations with Hydra. Jack was highly abusive (Physical, emotional, verbal, and mental.) and neglectful to him in his childhood, partially due to his disorders and LGBT+ identity, as well as instilling in him extremely negative ideals. Ableism and toxic Masculinity specifically, as well as getting him addicted to alcohol while he was still underage, all of which Blake still struggles to move past.
Jenna Herrington -
Jenna is Blake's mother, who also had a habit of neglecting him often, as well as verbally, mentally, and emotionally manipulating and abusing him. She always jumped to defend Jack and constantly took his side, but otherwise, she was a decent mother to him. She was also the target of Jack's abuse, but refused to believe it, even after Jack cheated on her.
Madelyn Marina -
Madelyn is Blake's half sister (Mother's side), who was almost the only comfort he had during his time raised by his abusive parents. She disappeared at one point during their childhood for years, but they reunited eventually, though she was different when she returned. Blake didn't mind the change. However, she then moved away later, leaving him behind with their abusive parents for seemingly no reason. Little did Blake know, his sister was taken to the red room.
??? -
Unknown half-sister (Father's side). Blake found out about this 'secret half-sister' after his father revealed her existence to him when Madelyn 'moved away'.
Mistress Death -
Blake's 'real mother'. The embodiment of death herself, she created him to cure her loneliness and also to create an heir in the event something may happen to her. His soul was hand-picked by her to take up this purpose. Blake is hesitant towards her for multiple reasons, mainly for the home she had him grow up in, while doing nothing to stop the abuse from happening. Though, there are times when a 'sweet' mother-son bond starts to show.
Austin 'Prowler' -
Originally Blake's pet cat, basically became Blake's son after he gained human intelligence in the same accident that initially killed Blake. Though sometimes Austin also takes up a more 'older brother'-type role, they do think of eachother as father and son. This father-son bond came about when they met, when Blake found him as a kitten, starving and abandoned. Blake took him in and nursed him back to health, even using his little money to buy him kitten formula. Austin acted as another of his few comforts when growing up in his abusive household.
Harvey Dent Blackmore -
Originally Blake's service dog, Harvey also took up 'son status' after gaining his own intelligence via Austin testing his abilities soon after the accident. Because of how potent it was at the time, and not being fully soaked into him yet, he transferred those abilities over to Harvey as well. ...Well, some of them, anyway.
Friends:
Jack 'Weed' Wiley -
Blake and Weed met at an addicts anonymous meet-up in NewYork. Their bond basically started after, during a conversation while waiting for the bus, Weed offered an edible to him, still packaged. This quickly turned into a friendship grown over Marijuana. Which is fitting for a mutant named 'Weed'. They have a deep mutual friendship, basically being best friends at this point.
Peter 'Spiderman' Parker -
Blake and Peter met while opposed, as Loki and the Avengers clashed. Only later, when Blake ended up helping the Avengers in some unrelated matters later on, did Peter and Blake actually get the chance to bond. With Peter having developed a friendship with Loki at that point, it wasn't hard to see them growing close as well, especially after he found out Blake was just as much of a nerd as he was.
Chewy -
Blake loved the Flerken as soon as he laid eyes on her. Chewy, meanwhile, wasn't sure at first. But Blake's experience with feline-like creatures led to him finding all the right places to pet and scritch Chewy to make her decide he passed her vibe check. Chewy's basically decided that Blake is her unofficial third owner.
Ava 'White tiger' Ayala -
Blake and Ava barely tolerated eachother at first. Surprise to nobody, they basically acted like a pair of territorial cats to the other. But, after Blake befriended Peter, Ava loosened up a bit and the two ended up developing a friendship as well.
Doreen 'Squirrel girl' Green -
Blake met Squirrel girl through Loki, who was, at the time, already friends with her. Their personalities meshed fairly well, so they ended up becoming friends pretty quickly. (Especially after they realized the other bakes, too.)
Bucky Barnes -
Loki and Bucky ended up developing a friendship while they and Blake were separated. This happening after Loki supposedly 'died', only for them to show back up during the Copyverse's equivalent of 'Civil war'. Blake joined them after seeing Loki with them, and from there they basically trauma-bonded. Bucky also seemed to sympathize with his situation with his father being a Hydra member as well.
Wanda 'Scarlet Witch' Maximoff -
Their first meeting was during a scenario where Blake was under the influence of the Mind stone. During that time, the Mind stone turned Blake's ideals toward the same goal Wanda and Pietro had: killing Tony Stark. During the time they spent together, the three of them got to know one-another and bonded over some of their trauma.
Natasha 'Black Widow' Romanoff -
Natasha has 'unofficial big sister' status with Blake. This mainly being because of Blake's sisters being taken to the red room as well, which resulted in Blake and Natasha bumping into each other while on a search for them. They bond over the course of the hunt, though Natasha was initially going to kill them, it quickly turned into a rescue mission when Blake joined the search.
Venom -
When Blake met Venom, he was in search of a new host. Blake absolutely adored being a venomized cat, and they seemed to get along fairly well, surprisingly. Venom ended up having to move on, but is sure to go back and bond with Blake again if he needs another host for whatever reason.
Artie-
Blake found Artie while he was still trapped inside his lamp. Summoning him by accident while stranded on an alien planet, very confused at first about who or what he was. After Artie explained he was basically, as Blake put it: 'an unlimited wishes genie', Blake had him help get Blake and Loki back to Earth. Then, Blake told him to go off and explore the universe like he mentioned he always wanted to do. Blake giving Artie the freedom he always wanted obviously gave Artie a positive view on him by default, which only grew as they crossed paths later on.
Enemies:
Tony Stark -
Blake and Tony have a bitter and petty relationship. Tony was an asshole to Blake from day one, and it only seemed to get worse after everyone found out that Blake was the son of a Hydra member. Meanwhile, Blake considered Tony to be emblematic of everything he hated about society.
Logan/James 'Wolverine' Howlett -
Blake and Wolverine tried to get along, but it was apparent that they just weren't going to get along. They butted heads way too often, to the point that literal fights would break out between them. They can get along in small doses, such as when they need to work together in dire circumstances, but they will instantly go back to hating eachother afterwards.
Cortez -
The drug lord responsible for the very event that killed Blake initially and gave Austin his powers. Cortez meant to assassinate him after Blake found out about his plans to infest New York with an addictive drug that would have all who took it under his control. Copycat then tracked him down after resurrecting and put a stop to his plans, catching the attention of SHIELD. In a strange way, Blake feels a bit grateful to him, since without his assassination attempt, Blake wouldn't have gotten his powers and met Loki like he had.
*More TBA*
It's Complicated:
Wade 'Deadpool' Wilson -
Blake and Wade met while Blake was doing his own thing. They bumped into eachother at one point and ended up being forced to team up, lest they get eaten by dinosaurs. They became...sort of friends? Over time though, with how closely bonded they seem to be, it became a bit harder to tell what exactly their relationship is.
Hela Odinsdottir -
Blake meeting Hela for the first time was a 'wow, so this is what it's like to be straight' moment for Blake. Then she almost immediately tried to kill him. After that, Hela developed a weird 'intrigue' towards him since she could feel that 'aura of death' around him.
Dr Stephen Strange -
Before they met, Strange had an almost prophetic dream about Blake. It involved Blake appearing to him in its Death Cat form, only for the souls within him to scream out for Strange's help. The dream ended with The Death Cat holding its jaw open above him and biting down. Strange awoke before he could see himself getting bitten in half. Then, soon after, met Copycat. As soon as Strange felt the aura of death surrounding him, his immediate response was shutting the door in his face. Dr Strange is deathly afraid of him, while Copycat is completely oblivious as to why and constantly trying to befriend him, since he thinks wizards are cool and wants to try and learn.
Johnny 'Ghost Rider' Blaze -
Ghost Rider initially assumed Blake was a demon, leading to them starting off on the wrong foot as Ghost Rider attempted to basically kill him. After realizing he wasn't a hellspawn, though, they slightly made up. The only times they really interact is awkwardly when they need to work together, or even more awkwardly when they're left in a room together.
Love interest(s)/Crush(es):
Loki Odinson -
Blake sympathized with his situation, especially in regards to their past in Asgard. After breaking them out of SHIELD custody, Blake allied himself with the god of Mischief. It took some time, but after a while, Loki started to relax around them, and eventually even started to open up to him. This happening after Blake risked his life to save them, when they could've easily just walked away from that situation. Loki even started to consider Copycat a friend, even going from calling him their 'assistant' to saying he was their 'partner'. Eventually, Blake developed feelings for Loki, which he decided not to voice out of fear and lack of self-esteem. Blake reasoned that Loki could do way better that him, and that he'd just get in the way. Loki ended up reciprocating all of that after Blake caught Loki in his frost giant form. He responded with awe rather than disgust or fear like Loki expected, then pledged his loyalty to them as a show that it didn't matter to him. This culminated in Loki realizing they had feelings for Copycat.
--Backstory--
Origin
Blake's grandfather wasn't the best man, he abused drugs and alcohol, was sent to prison multiple times, was a member of hydra, and overall was a very unsavory man. While in prison that final time though, he realized what he was doing with his life, and prayed that he wanted to leave and have a real family of his own.
Though, it was not God or Mephisto that heard him, nor an angel, no, it was the ears of a different being. A woman, draped in black, Death herself. She told him that she would use her might to get him out in return for a grandson of his, regardless of race, creed, etc. No matter how much Blake's grandfather asked, she refused to tell him why she wanted the child.
Blake's grandfather accepted regardless.
The next day, as if by magic, he was released with all charges dropped. He drove off and met an old-fashioned Christian woman, and the next thing he knew, they had a son. This was when he remembered the deal he made, which he told his wife shortly after the birth of their son. His wife was furious, telling him off for committing the foul sin: 'Making deals with the devil'. She filed for divorce soon after, remarrying, and vowed to cut her ex-husband out of their lives forever.
Raising her son, unaware that her ex-husband was still seeing him every so often, bringing him into drinking, drug use, etc. Blake's grandmother moved them all away from her ex-husband after she found out, moving far into the country. In the country, Blake's dad met a woman and had a daughter. To his grandmother's relief. However, they broke up soon after, and Blake's father ended up joining with one of his childhood friends, Blake's mother. Who, like Blake's father, had a daughter with a man she split up with some time ago.
Childhood
Blake's parents had him, his grandmother never told them about the 'curse', but he and his older sister, Madelyn, were dragged to church as much as possible anyway. Soon after he was baptized, his parents stopped taking him. His parents moved away, to an even more religious neighborhood in the slums of south Georgia, and soon, pulled Blake out of schooling entirely. For most of Blake's childhood, he stayed with his parents 24/7 in the same house, never being allowed to go anywhere. Being the literal definition of a 'Bastard', until he was seven when his parents finally got married.
Blake took in a starving stray kitten, who he named Austin, and soon took in a dog that he named 'Harvey' after a character from a comic book, which were one of the only things that helped him cope with his neglect and abuse-filled childhood. Blake, for all intents and purposes, was raised by the internet, as his parents spent their time alone and away from him, fighting with one another, manipulating and abusing him, or bullying him incessantly. It became obvious that the only things in his life at that point helping him cope were his pets, his sister, and his newfound love of story-telling and artistry, as well as the comics, TV shows, and other similar things he'd bury himself in.
Every day when a fight would break out between his parents, Madelyn would pull him into her room so he wouldn't get caught in the crossfire. She promised him that she would take him with her once she had enough money to leave, stressing this every opportunity she could. It became that he relied on these things to keep going, until his sister 'moved away', seemingly dropping off the map entirely.
Blake realized quickly how toxic his parents were. Leaving bruises on occasion, along with neglecting him, and being ableist and Queerphobic towards him. His father even completely refused to believe autism even existed, claiming Blake was just pretending despite Blake being diagnosed professionally when he was five. His father even got him into drinking as well, before he was even eighteen, which developed quickly into alcoholism.
This all came to a head when Blake attempted suicide. He took a knife from the kitchen, ready to do it. But, before he could do so Austin stopped him.
He didn't attempt it again in that house after that. But they moved soon after, moving to a place a little while away from New York.
Soon, Blake ended up using alcohol and drugs as a coping mechanism. Taking large amounts of alcohol and even stealing it on occasion so he'd feel better about the life he was stuck in. Unable to get a job due to his educational neglect, unable to move out due to his inability to get a job, and having no friends or family to turn to.
'Gaining' his powers
Blake eventually took initiative, after finally deciding he didn't want to be like his parents. He went out to the city without telling them to begin attending an addicts anonymous group and hopefully find a way to turn his life around. During these meetings was when he met Jake, or 'Weed'. Blake and him ended up getting close, the two finding some common ground with their mutual addiction to alcohol and wanting to get over it to be better people. Weed also seemed not to care about Blake's autism, as he had faced discrimination as well, being a mutant.
Sharing their time (And some marijuana)with one another, Blake found himself in a pretty happy place. This being interrupted after an impromptu visit from Weed's gang. You see, Weed was part of a group called 'The Drug lords', a group of mutants who dealt mysterious and intensely addictive mutant-power-enhancing drugs. Weed hid Blake and did the deal fairly quickly, only for the drug lords to realize Blake was there. He quickly ran off, pursued as the other members of Weed's gang decided that Blake 'knew too much'. It was here, thankfully, that Blake was rescued by the spider-gang. (Spiderman, Nova, Iron fist, White tiger, and Power man.)
Blake was very thankful to them for helping him, but unbeknownst to him, the news was covering this story, and his father caught it. When he returned home, he was greeted by screaming and a bottle to the back of his head.
That night, he left his home while his parents argued and broke things to get some fresh air, as well as to try and calm himself down from a panic attack. As he stood, however, he noticed Austin had followed him out the door. Austin ran out into the yard towards the road, and Blake, afraid he'd get run over, chased after him. They ran into the empty street, Where Blake caught him, but noticed headlights blink on out of nowhere. A truck transporting barrels of a strange substance to NY swerved and ran him over. Killing him and dumping the mysterious radioactive ooze all over him and Austin.
He arrived before Death herself in purgatory, but from there, he doesn't remember what happened. All he remembers is seeing her face, then waking up in a morgue. The morgue attendants obviously called his parents, who came to pick him up. Later, Blake was approached by Weed, and though apprehensive at first, Blake listened to what he had to say. Apparently, the truck running him over was no 'freak accident', in fact, it was planned and orchestrated by 'Cortez', the leader of The Drug Lords. The plan being to kill him so he wouldn't be a nuisance, while Cortez managed to pull some strings and get the gang out of their predicament, tying all of the loose ends from Blake's witnessing their deal up.
Blake was then handed a card from Weed, and realized that Jake was actually a SHIELD agent. Apparently, he had joined The Drug Lords a long time ago, but decided he wanted to be a better person, he made a deal with SHIELD that he'd be an agent of theirs and spy on The Drug Lords in exchange for a pardoning his previous crimes. That's when he told Blake that the man who ran him over, the innocent civilian under Cortez's control, was killed in the crash.
Blake was distraught about this news, feeling like he was partially responsible for the man's death. Weed tried to reassure him, but Blake felt like he owed the stranger some kind of vengeance. He went to bed that night with extreme guilt. But the next day, Blake found that he had paws, and discovered that he was a cat. His father, assuming he had gone off to NY again, took what he assumed was a stray and tossed him outside along with Austin.
He found that Austin was suddenly granted human intelligence, as well as psychic abilities. Using these abilities, Blake and Austin traveled to Weed's apartment for help, and thankfully, they managed to figure out how to get Blake to change back. Only for him to have to take the cat form again once Weed got another visit from the other Drug Lords.
The Drug Lords suddenly had a new plot they dropped by to tell Weed about. That night, Cortez planned to release a new drug of his into the waters of the public fountains, aiming to get as many of the homeless and other such people hooked on his new drug. This drug was full of Cortez's mushrooms, the same that allowed him to control the civilian driving the truck. Weed was brought away with them to help, effectively having him monitored the entire time, thus unable to contact SHIELD about it.
Then, Austin had an idea, use the powers they were given, avenge the man in the truck, and stop this plan. Blake was hesitant, but ultimately decided that it was the only thing they could do. After all, who would believe them that some drug lord was going to poison the water with mind-controlling mushrooms?
Blake put on a make-shift cosplay he was working on (With some tweaks)to hide his identity,(With Austin putting on some baby clothes to seem more human.) and they were off. With Austin's incredible intelligence and psychic prowess, as well as Copycat's creativity and shapeshifting abilities, the two managed to stop the plot from happening. With the help of a nearby alarm system, they also managed to stall long enough for the police, and SHIELD to arrive on the scene.
Weed and Nick fury talked for a while, with Weed mentioning that his friend(s) had been the ones who stopped them. Blake and Austin arrived back home, only for Blake's parents to once again assault him for leaving without telling them, as well as leaving for far too long. Blake understood why they were upset, he even agreed that he'd been out too long, but his parents, of course, took their anger far too out of line when, by the time Blake returned to his room, he had bruises around his neck and a splitting headache after his father nearly strangled him.
Austin found Blake a little later, contemplating suicide. Thankfully though, Austin managed to talk him out of it. Blake couldn't sleep that night, while Austin slept against him.
Bad/Good first impressions
The next day, Blake found his parents arguing, and without caring for how upset they'd be, Blake left yet again with Austin. Austin expressed a desire to be human to him while they talked as they wandered, which Blake took in stride. Then, Blake found himself face-to-face with Nick fury.
He found himself in S.H.E.I.L.D's helicarrier, joy overwhelming him as he finally got a chance to get away. Nick offering to bring him into SHIELD as an agent, providing him with housing and everything. Nick even told him that with his abilities, he may even qualify for the Avenger's initiative. However, coincidentally a certain Asgardian god known for mischief and tricks was being escorted at the same time. When Blake saw him on the opposite side of the hall, he was shocked. He met up with Thor a bit later, and expressed his love for mythology to him, but found himself puzzled when Thor, laughing, explained that some of the things he was saying weren't true. Such as Loki being Thor's brother, not his uncle.
Of course, this proved to pique Blake's interest. He prodded a bit, curious about what Asgard and its 'gods' were really like. Blake got many stories, did some digging into SHIELD records, and even went to the cell Loki was in to ask about it when nobody was paying attention. Loki normally wouldn't have said much, but Loki could sense an aura of death around him the moment he showed up, piquing Loki's interest. Eventually, through this, he pieced together enough of the narrative to get a good idea of what was going on. By the end, he found himself sympathizing with Loki.
Something about the idea of being lied to by your family, cheated, mistreated, and ostracized. It made the knowledge he was locked up in there feel...familiar. Blake obviously knew Loki wasn't a saint, but really, who was? After a little while of pondering, he decided to do something about it without telling Austin.
When nobody was around, he used his powers to help Loki escape, much to Loki's confusion. However, he wasn't as slick about it as he thought, and he was caught. He was caught right after his heritage as the son and grandson of hydra members was found out, which was why they were all looking for him, and everyone immediately assumed that Blake was a double agent of some kind. Blake immediately left, along with Austin, now an outlaw and a criminal. He got chewed out by Austin soon after, going back to his home and deciding to leave, only to find the house deserted when they arrived. Right after they left with a bunch of their belongings(And Blake's service dog, Harvey.), their home was ransacked by SHIELD operatives, to their horror.
Next thing he knew, Blake (Who started using 'Copycat'.) was living on the streets of New York, only to run into Loki. Loki recognized him immediately, and after some light chit-chat, Loki realized what happened with SHIELD. Then, Loki gave him an offer: Why not join them? Copycat hesitated at first, but agreed, seeing no other alternative, and generally trusting Loki, knowing they were basically birds of a feather. Austin wasn't entirely sure if they should take the offer, but decided the only alternative was to live on the streets and on the run with no back up.
