In fact the early concept art for Tomb Raider featured horse riding --> [link] .. it's sad it didn't make it into the final game .. but i don't think they will ignore an entry this good becasue of the horse XD

Hmm, wasn't aware of that, thanks for the heads-up. Let's wait for the next installment then, hopefully in an environment more conducive to horse riding than a rocky island consisting mainly of cliffs.

this is definitely one of the best works I've ever seen for this contest - the arrow in her mouth is just what a smart woman like her would do, to be able to reload faster instead of having to reach back into the quiver. Love the expressions (both of the horse and her) as well as the insane details

This looks awesome. The arrow in her mouth doesn't interact with the bow string appropriately, though.
I'd actually just toss the arrow in her mouth completely. It gives the allusion that she's shooting that one, and you don't need it.

This picture is so amazing! The sensation of dynamism and adrenaline in the race is palpable, this could easily work as an official poster. I wish you the best in the contest, this work deserves to be at least among the finalists.
