Description So, ideas were brainstorming with my Elemental Beasts concept recently. One of these is the idea that the gems our main characters use to transform were originally passed down from previous generations (from bottom to up).

Unlike our main characters however, these old generations are full on beast-people, and just like our main heroes, the gems grant them weapons that bent the four classical elements.

I was thinking that the lore of the gems go like this.

Aetheria is a planet populated by anthropomorphic animals, and just like the good 'ol pre-historic times, they are separated by their species of animals and are trying to murder each other. During their hundredth war or whatever, four divine beast made of the four elements appeared and tell the aetherians to be good to each other or they'll unleash the wrath of the animals on them, so they do.

So, the aetherians began working together and even treating the four divine beasts as gods, building them shrines of worship and such. However, at one point, the four divine beasts proclaim that from this moment on, they'll place all of their powers onto four crystals and only the crystals can choose however is fit to use such powers. Oh, and the four beasts went to sleep into four respective locations.

And so in every generation, the aetherians select four successors to be chosen as guardians to wield the power of the gems to fight of creatures from the void, which are a thing back then. These generations as you notice are the ones above.

However, after the third generation (i.e. the lion, fish, bull and owl), the aetherians decided they no longer need the guardians as the creatures from the void have ceased coming their asses here so the gems are placed in a chamber which are now guarded by priests.

So, a coupla new generations go around with priests being chosen to watch over the gems. The king's daughter, Fos, doesn't want to be a princess and prefers becoming a priestess. Even listening to the tales told to her by the current priest.

On the evening of the divine beasts anniversary/holiday or whatever along those lines, the creatures from the void came back and raided the kingdom like there's no tomorrow. With no other option, the aetherians are forced to bring out to gems again. But, since there's no time to select a person worthy to possess the gems powers, the priest assigned Fos as the new priestess and sends her off to another planet with the gems in hopes them she will find new guardians to guide them back to aetheria to save it from darkness.

So, hey. I'm still workshopping this concept and would probably going to write/re-write an episode summary list.
