The hydranychus lurks in the deeper ocean trenches and unexplored areas of the world out of sight from radars and ocean sensors. They are anonymously alive lurking the the abyss that is the ocean.
They live in mid to extremely low depths, but they will occasionally come up to the surface and cause some kind of disaster to ships in their area. They are equiped for living both on land and underwater. They hunt with their sharp claws and teeth, as well as their powerful tail capible of launching dolphins and sharks around in the water.
They also have built in night vision to allow them to traverse the deep abyss.
