it's a fire chicken!

the spark-bang is a nomadic species that is sprawled throughout the entire globe with many seperated communities existing across the main continent of Daruzxa.
they are 15-20 meter scavenger dragons that hunt and brutally scorch anything they come across with their combustive friction.

to attack, they rub their feathers together in combination with the release of extremely reactive glasses from their pours and bodies. once they're ready, they ignite themselves alight and explode with a vicious force that scorches anything except them.
they also launch a breath of flames that can be described as "fireworks"
they will launch out a flaring orb of flames that explodes on contact with anything.

while typically non confrontational, there exists a group of pirates that consist of mostly spark-bang Quetzals. they have been nicknamed "the Scorching Barons" by many, and rightfully so as this single group of pirates had caused so much damage to anyone and anything that got in their way.
they raid and plunder individuals and smaller colonies, sometimes even markets. they are also rumored to work directly for the black market, though no one has lived to ever get any information out of them...
