most people dont capture the true essence of tolkiens world of how subtle its is,like our own world its origin and true nature, beneath the material layer is a world of abstract and spiritual nature, you have capture that essence, here morgoth is as he should be magnificent, abstract for he has no form, powerful and beautiful.i love this painting.

This is just .. awesome. I mean, I really love your style because it's original and vibrant and pretty personal , but if you put that together with my favorite Noldo ever in one of the few passages of the Silmarillion that actually make me cry and want to be better and go bitchslap Morgoth to death every time I read it.. much feel very beautifil.
I'm really thankful that you've drawn this.

but it does seem like an epic battle, only the character looks like he's climbing an epic mountain to go fight an epic dragon, because the blue-light blue thing looks like a cloudy background so he looks like he's climbing out of a cave. at least at first glance. the colors are beautiful!

I think you're better on watercolour, good piece anyway - specially Fingolfin -. For Morgoth, this picture to me is one of the best EVER I found around the internet, evilness doesn't come from ugliness, so the character is even more scary:

Incidentally, the title almost fools me. In spanish, my mother tongue, 'Boj' is the name of the bush boxwood (Buxus sempervirens)
Cheers.
