Haha! I was not expecting the mask fairy.
Normally my problem with masks is that I tend to get some of the wrong bits of the gradient transparent, and then I try to get around that by tweaking it more, and then it just goes into a mess...so then I just dump the whole thing entirely. But anyway, this was a great tutorial- I remember how I couldn't understand how masks worked and this definitely would have helped me then.

Hello! Thank you so very much for this amazing tutorial on masking. I am still really new to uf, got it for by birthday from hubby. So I've only been using it since then, Dec. 24, 2008.

Your tutorial was so easy to follow, even for a n00b like me.
