it means ANYONE who makes anything even if its not origonal or belongs to someone/something/somewhere else it is STILL considered art if has been made into ones style(as long as credit is given where is/if due) so even though memes dont nessecarily belong on DA they are still considered a form of ART if they arnt actually art or original at all so in the case of quiddees argument that memes dont belong here/arnt funny/stolen/whatever case may be
they still and shall always will be considered a form of art.

Now this may sound odd but, I'm not an artist. I'm a performer. In my eyes an artist cares more about the piece and its meaning and stuff then how the public will react to it. A performer while they still care about their performance care about about how the audience will respond. I don't try to bring a lot of meaning to most of my stuff. I try to make you laugh, feel afraid, or cry.
