Part one of ~LindaColijn 's tutorial. I decided to finally edit it into what it should look like in the book. I'm not yet content with the layout on itself, but don't know how to make it look better. If you know something to improve it, you are very welcome, I'd love to have suggestions (and especially visual examples...) if you want to have (a small version of) the .psd file I can send it to you, send me a note on =shadowfax88this tutorial is made by !

excellent stuff. took me ages to figure out this technique. i used to just block the horse in and endlessly blend lighter tones for the highlights (with oils or acrylics). this is hard to master but worth it. i hope your tutorial helps save other arts a lot of time trying to work out this technique for themselves. its going straight to my favourites for future reference!
