I know these kind of shots have been done many times, but I wanted to try my hand at it.One thing that I liked about this shot was the rusted part of the handrails on the dock. When I went back recently it had all been painted white. I know it technically looked better newly painted, but I still liked the personality of old rusted handrails

Thanks! And I did, but with the current levels it came out too dark. I imagine if I were to lighten it a bit, black and white might look pretty sweet

This is a nice place I would like to spend some evenings on. At least you *made* it look that way.
I really like those handrails as well, the way they look on this photo, as I generally like objects that tell stories... which really creates a big part of this photo's charm.

I agree with you about the handrails...gives it some character. I also like the perspective of distance that you got with this...I can follow the lines of the handrail all of the way to a point at the horizon. Nice work!
