I was a little disappointed with the lack of tears and hugging after the death of Hawke's mom, so I made my own sappy comic
I haven't seen the other LI's comfort scenes, but Fenris's was just... interesting. Anyways. It's finally done (after some panic over a lost tablet pen...) and now... Yeah.
Edit: Why does the lighting suddenly look so orange? On my desktop it looks nice... On my laptop it's just hard to look at :\ I guess that's the disadvantage with digital art.
Fenris and some of the dialogue belongs to Bioware.

I too was a little disappointed with the lack of tears. I really thought my good hawke who loved her mother would have been just sobbing. But no, nothing.
This captivates the feeling I personally feel was meant to be portrayed at that moment <3 lovely art.

Thank you. I think most people felt that the post All That Remain scenes were insufficient. It's really too bad, because that was such a traumatic quest

I totally agree. because there was just such lack of emotions. honestly there could have been several ways each Hawke dealt with the emotional pain. Such as the angry one smashing stuff and the sarcastic one perhaps being drunk and sad...just random ideas off the top my head.
but I really do feel there was so much emotional depth that was missed.

I think the only one that acted accordingly was Gamlen when he started yelling and blaming Hawke for Leandra's death. All of the LI comments were rigid.

Can I let you in on a little secret? I *might* have sketched out a 15 page comic about the "All That Remains" quest, and my Hawke definitely yells at Gamlen... and everyone else in her party. My Hawke's uses sarcasm to cover up distress, so she's got a lot of it bottled up and her mother's death is enough to make her snap a bit
It'll take me forever to finish though, so I don't really want to tell a lot of people in case I get irritated and decide to scrap it...

you are a reader of minds! this is one scene that i think bioware failed BIG TIME. i have had this scene, rewritten in my mind, for months... i'm just trying to get to the point in my story where i can finally use it.

YES! We need more hugging and crying! Come on, Origins was pretty much a waterworks, at least it would have been if the animation weren't so cumbersome.
