well, i quote form the unabriged book "it is no longer possible to deny that erik really lived." and he stated that they had found a sjeleton of a man by a well were erik was sighted with christine daae in his trembling arms. to support the fact, a plain gold ringwas found on his finger, with the fact that erik had given a plain gold ring to christine, and he said that when he died, she would burry his body with the ring.
