A little fanart of two great books/movies with the same thematics, To Kill a Mockingbird, and Broken, made fifty years later.
Jean-Louise Finch (Scout), played by Mary Badham to the left, and Emily Cunningham (Skunk), played by Eloïse Laurence to the right (which is a big inspiration for Sinead in my graphic novel project Healing btw :3 )

A young girl in England is witnessing the latent violence of her neighborhood when Rick, a friend of her (an autistic guy older than her) is violently clubbed by Mr Oswald, another neighbor, convinced (wrongly) that he raped his daughter.
The pitch is very similar to To Kill a Mockingbird, as you see.
