Too much shitty watersigns and copyright text over it, way to ruine good art...

Hey, that's really rude! I have artists who put a semi transparent navy blue logo over everything and add three different stamps on the characters (MayLovesAkidah *cough cough* bitch) but this is perfectly reasonable

You realize people add watermarks to avoid others stealing their art, right?
It's their choice to add it. And It doesn't ruin anything about the picture. At all.

I totally ruines it. It takes off the illusion / fantasy a picture should show. An artwork should not be just a "Save thing that nobody should steal". There are millions of prints and pictures out there of the Mona Lisa. Should she be watersigned? No, it would RUINE the picture massivly, just like with that one here.
You donΒ΄t even protect your picture with watersigns, if I wanted to I could erase the logo easiely with a few minutes of photoshop work. And I could spread it as mine.
The only protection you can have of your pictures is something like google picture search. Search your picture and contact owner of pages with abusive use of your artwork etc.
Watersigns do nothing but ruine an artwork.

I personally don't see anything wrong with watermarks.
It's the artist's decision to add the watermark. Not yours. If you don't want watermarks on artwork, then draw your own art without it. Β This picture is amazing and if you don't think so, then don't comment. Simple.
Don't criticise something someone worked hard on and tell them "oh because you did this its ruined."
That's rude and it makes you look bad.

Upload the picture without useing the watermark? Must be some kind of thing you can check/uncheck when you upload it.
You can even reupload the older deviation. Just go under edit deviation.
