MORTASHEEN FANART?! NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!!!

Thankfully, I had just enough time on Saturday to complete this, in the midst of a few... complicated matters I'd rather not get into. Basically, one day I quite unexpectedly blundered into the works of the great ~scythemantis , and as soon as I gazed into the great world of Mortasheen, I instantly fell in love.
For those of you who've been living in foreign Cloud Cuckoo lands of your own, Mortasheen is basically Pokemon for grown-ups. The principles are generally the same - only the monsters are far more grotesque, dangerous, and rich in High Octane Nightmare Fuel. The one you see here is the Devilweed, which germinates only in the remains of zombies and feeds primarily on flesh.

As soon as I looked at it, I thought of Audrey II from Little Shop of Horrors, and then of the Deku Babas from the Legend of Zelda franchise. And I thought of this:

...You can probably guess where it went from there.

I don't know if you can actually grow Deku Babas in any of the LoZ games (I know you certainly can't in Twilight Princess), but it would still be fun to have Link here end up cultivating a pet Devilweed if he ever ends up in Mortasheen for some reason. I imagine that he'd befriend it in a similar manner to this Deku Baba:

And of course, the thing'll be named Audrey II. And it'll call the poor Hylian "Seymour" no matter how hard he insists that THAT IS NOT HIS NAME.
Also, I dare you to color this. And put a background over it as well. I DARE YOU, I DOUBLE DARE YOU.

Mortasheen is rapidly becoming my new favorite original franchise, so expect more artwork to come soon. Assuming I can get my drawing spark back, I'll be all too happy to cut loose with the monsters that make it freakin' awesome as hell!
