it's not home-made, it's an alter - I paint with acrylics on an acual card. The rules do allow for artistic alterations - but also allow floor judges to rule a card unplayable. On the rare occasions where I play in a sanctioned with the even rarer occasion I use one of my own alters, I run the past the judges first, and have a non-altered version or other stand-in ready.
