This is not a skin, this is a resource!
Windows live resource (Based on windows live graphics) for media player 11 (latest 11.0.5721.5145) version 1 (WINDOWS XP only)
To install this resource you must have the latest media player 11
Place the wmploc.dll and wmp.dll to C:\Program Files\Windows Media Player and the C:\windows\system32 directories.
For new wmp icons place the wmplayer.exe to C:\Program Files\Windows Media Player too.
Make sure you've made a backup of the original wmploc.dll, wmp.dll and wmplayer.exe!
Run media player, it should have the new look!
If you experience some problems send me a note, or comment!
Known bugs: The toolbar images are too dark, when player is mini the top is blue and the bottom is white - will be fixed in version 2! But the bottom control toolbar it is impossible to see text.

Maybe a stupid question, but I'm gonna ask it anyway: is this whole thing compatible with all languages??? I am running Win XP Pro SP3 Dutch and I was wondering whether replacing these systemfiles would perhaps lead to an English Media Player or not. That could make Windows unstable uc...

that's great except the clock on the taskbar. Its color is as white as the background and I cant see the clock. Do u know how to change color of the clock.

No there is no way to change the clock text color.
Also you meant bottom controls, the taskbar is the very bottom pane which has start button etc.

Ok.. Thanks alot.. Heres a screen shot... [link] .. If you like to try it. its free for all even if you don't have zune. you can download it here [link] or here [link] but it require new software update and takes so long to download the full installer don't know why microsoft don't realease
a full installer. Try it and its more useful for you to make because they say it have something "zuneloc.dll just like wmploc.dll where the resources are compile.. Thanks hope you can do it.. You can do it....

hmm, where do you get these builds? I downloaded this from m$ site again and it is still 5145, there is a way to trick wmp, just use reshack and change the version info.

i took it out every thing works nice i put it back
and i had the same problem evey body eles is

only works on English version??!!
couse i've a dutch version..
and after i replaced the dll's in "system32" folder, and placed them in the "Windows Media Player" folder, WMP seems to stay black =S

Aha, at first it seemed nice. But upon install I came across an error. i try to overwrite the wmploc.dll file and it says that It cant be overwritten or deleted and stuff. Shame. Any suggestions?
