I saw this [link] on winmatrix, and though it would be cool to have the sidebar as a taskbar combo. I tried with desktopx, but it seems it does not want to stay always on top. Them I tried samurize - and this is 20 minutes work - pretty impressive huh?
All functions shown are fully working (except the analog clock which I'll add later). The samurize object stays on top of the taskbar - and gives a longhorn feeling.I'll work more on this and release this soon!
btw - the style is aero redux for xp.

On desktopx you can change the desktop size, do that acording to the height of that bit under the task bar. Then any window wont go over the extra bit.

No, it's very easy as start, it has a visual editor where you can simply stack images, adjust settings and stuff, but making plugins and specific functions is more difficult.

It looks nice, but i think the bar below the taskbar should be on the top and maybe just a little bit smaller. But great concept, it would be nice if this sidebar thingy would be a little bit transparent or such, or more like MCE design, some modern thing
