I don't believe there is. I think it's based on images and a configuration file, like CSS

I have to say, I don't use WMP. I use foobar, for various personal reasons. But if I opened up a fresh install of Windows 8, and this fully integrated media player that boasted a design this awesome was there? I'd use it. Even if it meant a small drop in frame rate, it would be worth it.

Thanks! To be fair, it wouldn't be hard to port this design into a functional foobar skin. It wouldn't have any animations though, and I'm not exactly familiar with foobar skinning

Heh, that's ok. Since PanelsUI broke, use foobar people are having to get used to a new format, but it's turning out pretty good. Would you mind if I took a fair shot at it in my (free time?

Beautiful, and looks very functional without being cluttered at all, which is great. To top the cake, I don't see anything that would be difficult to use on a touchscreen if the controls were executed right.
My nit-picky points:
- Would the small Start Screen tile be able to cycle between controls/data and only album art? Also, the little headphone icon doesn't quite seem to fit... you could add circular control buttons like the ones from the full view to fill the space instead.
- I'm not sure I understand the duplication of the time data (behind the title/album/rating info) in the full and sidebar views. I can see how it breaks up the background behind the info, but it's a little distracting, and not very useful since the same data is shown more clearly and in context right above.
- There is a song playing and an album showing in the library/navigation area, but it isn't queued? So what will play next - the next track in the album or nothing at all?
I had not seen those leaked screenshots before; to put it bluntly, that official Microsoft version looks really bad. I don't understand that absurd whitespace, the lack of color, hiding player controls in the swipe-up bar, or that little bubble above the track progress bar. It's like they tried to make it so touchscreen friendly that they made an app for people with no fingers. Hopefully they'll work on it some more.

Ah, I see what you mean about the queue now. MusicBee does that as well - if you aren't careful you might queue up your whole library by clicking on only one song. (There might be a setting to change it, just haven't looked.)

Both the sidebar and panel modes are my favorite but I dunno about the full view mode. I would like for the full view to expand and allow roomy space for the music library and toolbar shenanigans for organization and stuff (ie. music tagging, playlist, etc.) But otherwise the overall design is really functional and awesome.

WIndows 8 is too much tablet on PC, and too much PC on tablet...
Metro is awesome, but i think you are not using it as you should... (microsoft)
